The Shaman
The Shaman is the wise Sage and Avalona’s teacher on this journey. She represents the divine feminine within us all and sacred connection to the earth. She gives Avalona the tools and lessons needed to face her fears, stand in her truth, and align with her higher self as she navigates through the darkness to the light.
MAYA DAYS (she/her) made her Broadway debut as Mimi in Rent after appearing in the same role in the West End in London. On Broadway, she played Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar and the tour-de-force role of Aida in Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida. On television, she appeared on Law and Order, Barbershop, Blue Bloods and in a recurring role on Damages opposite Glenn Close. As a Jive recording artist, she toured the world with three top-10 hits including the #1 single "Feel It" (which was the promotional song for the World Cup and featured on Showtime's Queer as Folk). With Gabry Ponte, she recorded "Sexy DJ," which became an international dance/pop hit. Maya celebrates her husband Keith and her son, Boston Quinn Flannery, who is easily, her GREATEST accomplishment. @msmayadays
Constantine Maroulis
The Shadow
The Shadow represents the individual and collective darkness that exists within us all. He embodies the shadow self, forcing Avalona to confront her deepest fears. The Shadow teaches Avalona that while she must honor and respect the dark, she is free to choose the light, understanding that the balance between the light and the dark is the sacred dance within all things. It is crucial for Avalona to learn this lesson in order to move forward on her journey.
CONSTANTINE MAROULIS (he/him) was born in Brooklyn and raised in Jersey. Best known for his Tony Nominated star turn in Rock of Ages on Broadway and as a finalist during the heyday of American Idol with superstar Carrie Underwood. Constantine is a 2x Tony Nominee, 3x Drama League Nominee for Distinguished Performance and is a past recipient of the Broadway.com Star of The Year. Credits include: Frank Wildhorn’s Jekyll & Hyde, The Wedding Singer, Spring Awakening, RENT, Jacques Brel, Jesus Christ Superstar, Postmodern Jukebox, Rocktopia, Williamstown, Eaglemania, Foreigners Journey, Rock and Roll Man and many more. The Child
The Child is Avalona’s inner Child whose light dims as she closes herself off from the magic, wonder, and joy of her true essence. She becomes furious at Avalona for abandoning her, but through courage and compassion, is able to find forgiveness. She is the inner child in all of us, who we must heal, embrace, and integrate in order to journey forward and become whole.
MADELINE SERRANO (she/her) has been performing for several years as a singer and aspiring actress and is honored to be playing the role of The Child in AVALONA. Credits include Young Evita in Evita-Bucks Co Playhouse, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Annie in Annie and Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie(Cherry Hill), Katherine in Newsies, Matilda in Matilda and Jasmine in Aladdin(CHPAC). Weaver of Time
The Weaver of Time is the embodiment of Avalona’s higher self, who, through alchemy, with her mystical golden threads, weaves the path for Avalona along her journey of healing and self discovery. As the expression of knowledge, wisdom and full integration; she symbolizes the higher self within each of us, and is the voice of our inner guidance, when we truly listen.
DINA FANAI (she/her) is an award-winning recording artist, songwriter, producer, and storyteller with a career spanning an impressive array of artistic achievements and philanthropy. She has performed with, produced, arranged and written for globally renowned artists, including Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Foreigner, Jackie Evancho, Sébastien Izambard (Il Divo), Il Volo, Tina Turner’s “BEYOND” Project, and Rocktopia on Broadway. Recognized for her contributions to music and the arts, Dina has received grants and awards from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and the National Endowment for the Arts. Her passion extends beyond the stage through her companies, One Vision Music and Power of Music Global, where she produces concerts and recordings to champion causes such as mental health awareness, disability advocacy, and women’s empowerment. Dina has also led tours and educational programs across the U.S. and Southeast Asia, continuing to inspire through the transformative power of music. @avalonamusic

Dark Horse
Dark Horse represents the protector of The Child’s Spirit, and of Avalona’s empowerment. Dark Horse appears whenever Avalona needs to call upon strength and courage. Dark Horse symbolizes our instinctual right to truth and freedom that The Shadow attempts to suppress, but is the vital force which lies beneath the surface and will always rise to the light in the end.
Fabricio Seraphin is a Haitian contemporary dancer, model and actor based in New York City. He has worked with numerous companies and choreographers around New York City including Lane Co Arts, Amanda Syelwyn dance, Ballet Theatre Company and Shakespeare's Globe Theater. He is the American ambassador and dancer for the European nightlife company Glitterbox. Fabricio has also worked as an aerialist and dancer for The Rainbow Circus in Miami and House of Yes in Brooklyn. He has appeared in music videos, short films, and commercials. He was recently performing in “The Devouring” at the Times Square EDITION. And “Hypnotique” at the Mckittrick Hotel. He is thrilled to be a part of Avalona. @fabricioseraphin

LAVY CAVALIERE (he/they) is a gender queer, Queens based, choreographic dance artist. Graduating with their BFA in dance from Marymount Manhattan College, their performance credits include works by Kyle Abraham, Andrea Miller, Yin Yue, Jenn Freeman, and Nicole Von Arx. In 2021, Lavy founded VERBAL ANIMAL, a cohort of queer multidisciplinary collaborators. Lavy’s work has been presented at the 14th St Y, WAXworks, TADA! Theater, 3 Dollar Bill, Laguardia Performing Arts Center and Triskelion Arts. @xlavvvy

Morgan Andrews
MORGAN ANDREWS (she/her) is so excited to be making her New York City debut in AVALONA! She is originally from Austin, Texas where she fell in love with the arts and the impact storytelling can have on an audience. Morgan is a recent graduate from the Ann Lacy School of Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University. Jordann Stoute
JORDANN STOUTE (she/her) is a New York native and holds a bachelor's degree from The Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is a recipient of the Adopt-A-Dancer Scholarship from Fall 2020-Spring 2023. She began her professional dance training at Professional Performing Arts School and received additional training at The Ailey School and at MOVE|NYC| as a Young Professional. She’s spent summers at Springboard Danse Montreal, MOVE|NYC| S.W.E.A.T. and has performed repertoire by Hofesh Shecter, UNA Productions, Greg Lau, Shamel Pitts, Norbert De La Cruz, Martha Graham, Dorchel Haqq, Bill T. Jones, and Kyle Abraham to name a few. She recently has fulfilled the position as an Assistant Director/ Assistant Choreographer/ Performer at the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre. Alyssa Bulin
ALYSSA BULIN (she/her) is a New York City based dancer from Chicago, Illinois. She received her BFA in 2022 from Marymount Manhattan College with a concentration in Ballet and a minor in Business Management. She continued her training by attending BJM360 (Ballet Jazz Montreal) summer intensive in 2023 led by Alexandra Damiani. Alyssa has performed works by Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, Peter Chu, Jessica Lang and Gregory Dolbashian. In 2023, she performed at the Ohio Dance Festival as well as the New York City Art Bath Salon Series, directed by Mara Driscoll and Elizabeth Yilmaz of the Metropolitan Opera. In 2024, she performed for Vildwerk Foundation at El Museo del Barrio Theater directed and choreographed by Gianna Greisen and now, Alyssa is currently a freelance artist in New York City. @alyssarosebulin

JAMAL A. SHURIAH (he/him) attended the Hartt School with a BFA in Musical Theatre. Last seen performing in A Bronx Tale, as Tyrone at The Argyle! Other credits include: Off Broadway’s The Perfect Game, Ford Theatre’s new show Shout Sister Shout playing the role of Little Richard and others, Lincoln Jazz Center with LL Moves Dance Company, The Nutcracker with CT Dance as the Nutcracker, Passing Strange as Understudy “Youth,“ at SLC acting Company, HUD in the musical Hair at Geva theatre. Bigger shows include: touring internationally with Greenday’s Broadway show American Idiot, playing the role of Simba/Jafar/Scar/Jaq on Disney Cruise lines, POSE as a featured dancer and the movie Hello Again as featured dancers. Kaori Hiwasa
KAORI HIWASA (she/her) is a dancer and choreographer from Osaka, Japan, with expertise in various styles, including Hip Hop, Locking, Contemporary, and Jazz. She began her dance journey at the age of 15, starting her career as a backup dancer for the Japanese rock band Ulfuls and as a cheerleader for the Orix BuHaloes baseball team. She has performed at the opening ceremony of the Japanese Pro Baseball season and the World Championships in Athletics. Kaori has also collaborated with renowned choreographer Shawnette Heard (Janet Jackson, Madonna, Beyoncé). In 2011, Kaori moved to New York City to further her career, expanding her work as both a dancer and choreographer. She is now a core member of ELSCO Dance Company, led by Ellenore Scott, a prominent choreographer with Broadway credits on Tony-nominated productions such as Funny Girl, Mr. Saturday Night, and Grey House. Kaori’s creative work has been highly praised, earning her the Excellence Award at the 2021 Kadoma International Film Festival. DANA LIEBEZEIT (she/her) is excited to join the AVALONA family! A multi-faceted artist currently based in New York City and originally from Berwyn, PA, she graduated with a BFA in Commercial Dance from Pace University. Some of her favorite credits include Emergence (Off-Broadway), Cedar Point's Spectacular, The NBCU Upfronts. Leading with love always. Kenley Hardwick
KENLEY HARDWICK is a NYC-based queer artist from North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He trained at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities (2015–2018) before earning his degree from Marymount Manhattan College, where he studied under Katie Langan and Nancy Lushington. While at Marymount, he performed works by Andrea Miller, Martha Graham, Jessica Lang, Yin Yue, Jennifer Archibald, Adam Barruch, Peter Chu, and Paul Taylor. After graduating in 2022, Hardwick completed Gibney Company’s certificate program under Alexandra Wells, collaborating with Laja Field, Elias Marak, Rena Butler, and Maleek Washington. In early 2023, he performed aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, sailing through the Caribbean. Now freelancing, Hardwick primarily dances with Verbal Animal Dance under Lavy Cavalier, performing regularly throughout NYC. @kvnlvy

She is most well known for her role as “Dorothy” in The Wizard of Oz National Tour, where she completed over 500 performances in 90+ cities across North America. She is also a yogi, meditation teacher, healer, & spiritual guide. DAN DOMENECH (he/him) is an American singer, director and actor best known for his portrayal of Jason Dean in Heathers: The Musical, Drew in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages and a recurring guest appearance on Glee. Domenech has also appeared in the pre-Broadway runs of Wonderland, Sister Act, National/International tours of RENT and Rock of Ages and worked as associate choreographer for film and TV projects like Tropic Thunder, Step Brothers, Fame, The Academy Awards and Emmys. @dan_domenech

JAQUITA MAY (she/her) is a versatile entertainer known for her vibrant energy and vocal ability. Singing in the church choir at age 5, she developed her passion for the arts in New Jersey. Her 2004 remix of Whitney Houston’s Love Will Save The Day showcased her gospel roots. In 2005, her a cappella version of the national anthem made her a finalist in the Oprah Pop-Star Challenge out of 15,000 entries. JaQuita has shared the stage with legends like Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen. JaQuita headlined tours in Italy and released multiple dance records. Maggie is excited to be making her professional debut as part of the amazing cast of Avalona. Maggie is a talented singer and actress with a passion for performing arts. She has been participating in local children’s theatre programs since the age of 5. She loves basketball, soccer and plays the guitar. Recent credits include Miss Adelaide in Guys and Dolls Jr, Lily St. Regis in Annie, Jojo in Seussical Jr. and as Avery in the original play, Pages of Hope. Maggie is so incredibly grateful to have this opportunity and wants to thank her family, friends and mentors who have guided and supported her in her musical journey.

NIARA HARDISTER (she/her) is a dancer from Riverside, California. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Hospitality at Cornell University and is currently based in New York. She is a performer with the Metropolitan Opera and a collaborator with Kyle Marshall Choreography. Her dance credits include the Joyce Theater, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the American Dance Festival, and Le Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur. She has also been featured in brand campaigns with SiriusXM, Bombay Sapphire, Penguin Random House, and Oberima Afriyie. @niarahardister

MAURICE IVY (Moe) grew up studying dance in Metro Detroit before graduating from Duke University in 2016 with a B.A. in Literature (Critical Theory), a minor in Dance, and a certificate in Film. Moe has spent summers training at Virginia School of the Arts, The Ailey School, Point Park University, Summer Stages at Concord Academy, and the Nederlands Dans Theater in 2015. He joined Seán Curran Company in 2017 and was a collaborator/performer in his 20th anniversary season at BAM in 2018. That summer he was also a student of the first Gaga intensive at Jacob’s Pillow on full scholarship. In 2022, Moe graduated with a Master’s degree in Creative Technology: Live Experience Design from Berklee College of Music NYC. Most recently, he performed in the Metropolitan Opera's new production, El Niño.

CHUCK PALMER (he/him) is a drummer/percussionist, producer, engineer, arranger, songwriter, conductor and composer. DAVE EGGAR (he/him) is a four-Time Grammy nominated artist that has performed throughout the world including solo appearances in Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center, Barbican Center and the Hollywood Bowl. Dave continues to tour and record with artists such as John Legend, Lewis Capaldi, Foreigner, (as the Dave Eggar Orchestra) Phillip Phillips, Frank Ocean, Amy Lee (Evanescence), Taylor Swift as well as composing and arranges award winning movie soundtracks including Beasts Of The Southern Wild, Anonymous, and Without and Walk To Beautiful. Throughout his career, Dave has performed and recorded with artists such as Josh Groban, The Who, Paul Simon, Andrea Bocelli, Bon Jovi, Tony Bennet, Coldplay, Ornette Coleman, Breaking Benjamin Patti Smith, and Michael Brecker. He is a graduate of Harvard University and holds a Doctorate from the Juilliard School. Dave is a mentor master teacher For Lincoln Center Meet the Artist, National Young Arts and Virginia Pro-art. KELY PINHEIRO (she/her) is a classically trained cellist but grew up in a music-loving family that encouraged her to explore a variety of musical genres. She pushes boundaries with her diverse musical style, blending elements of folk, pop, rock, and Brazilian music. Awarded a full-tuition scholarship, Kely graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Cello Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production. Further solidifying her reputation, she joined the Hadestown National Tour before embarking on a new challenge: pursuing a Master of Music in Performance — Multi-Style Strings at New Jersey City University. @that_braziliancellist
